It is not that complicated when going back to the origins of the second generation of Skyscales born because of the Commander's actions to obtain a Skyscale mount. The 2nd generation were stable and can live longer and normal lives compared to first generation that died early due to their flaws. What would a new flying mount do that the skyscale or griffon don't, and won't make one or both obsolete? Unless we get airships and can have more people on board.
