party size. If you go into the Party section of the Clan menu, you can adjust their max party wages. That won't exactly let you set the size of the party, but if you set it low enough it'll keep them smaller. 500 is my usual go-to for smallish (50 or so) parties. When looking at the unit list on the Party screen, units near the top are much much more likely to be in the initial fight. The first reinforcement wave will select the remaining units closest to the top, and so forth. So just stick your own cavalry near the top and you can have a 70 vs 70 elite unit brawl.
